This System, administered by the Georgia Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, tracks sexual assault kits (SAKs) processed by various state and local agencies. Agencies handling SAKs are legally required to use the system to manage SAK movement and update kit statuses for any kits in their possession. The system tracks SAKs by a unique SAK ID/Barcode number and does not capture any personally identifiable information. This system is not intended to serve as an official chain of custody for any sexual assault kit.
